Worship:
Worship plays a significant part in the life of Cornerstone.
We praise and worship the God of all creation, the maker of heaven and earth and everything in it, who through Jesus (the word), spoke all things into being. He is the giver of life, the sustainer of life and the one in whom all things hold together.
We worship this awesome God who in His love and mercy, stepped into history in the person of Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins, who died our death so that we can have life. Who rose again and conquered death, so that we not only can live life in all its fullness but also have the assured hope of eternal life with Him.
We worship this God of love and grace who gives us good gifts through the power of His Holy Spirit, so that we can live this life to His glory!
Cornerstone takes the words of the Lord Jesus seriously when He said out heavenly father is looking for worshippers who worship in spirit and in truth.
Corporate worship at Cornerstone takes the form of singing contemporary songs of
praise and worship, of prayer, words of knowledge and prophesy.
We also recognise that to worship this Holy God, is more than just praising God together on a Sunday but in fact is living lives that honour Him, please Him and give Him glory as a spiritual act of worship (Romans 12:1).
The Team:
The worship Team is led by Shirley Morgan and comprises of about 20 members with 3 worship leaders.
The team leads worship for Sunday services, Wednesday prayer services, Alpha courses, Baptisms and weddings.
Team members are mature believers who have a heart for worshipping Jesus Christ through music and who are willing to use their God-given talents to glorify Him – not themselves.
The band is comprised of anywhere between 2 and 7 members plus a sound engineer, depending on the type of service.
The most important part of our preparation time together before a service, is spent in prayer.

The Supremacy of the Son of God
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
